5 things you must know

1. We have all sinned.

"For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God." (Romans 3:23)

We were created to glorify God, but we are all sinners by nature and by choice.

2.  WE HAVE A PENALTY OF OUR SIN.

"For the wages of sin is death..." (Romans 6:23a)

Sin must be paid for, and God says that the payment is death.

When a soul dies without Christ, he pays for his own sins and goes to hell forever.  God does not want anyone to go to hell - that is why Christ died on the cross.  A person chooses to go there by rejecting God's gift of eternal life.

3.  CHRIST PAID THE PENALTY FOR US.

"But God commendeth His love toward us in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8)

God loved us so much that He sent His only begotten Son to pay for our sin penalty on the cross.  He died, was buried, rose from the grave after three days, and is in Heaven awaiting your decision. (Romans 8:34)

If you were the only sinner in the world, Jesus would have died just for you!

4. WE CAN HAVE THE SAVIOUR.

"...but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." (Romans 6:23b)

God sent Jesus as His free gift to us so we could receive Him and one day and  live in Heaven forever. A gift can't be bought or earned by the receiver.  It can only be received.  Forgiveness does not come through baptism, church, to good deeds; it only comes through receiving Jesus once and for all as a GIFT by believing and receiving unto salvation. Yes, Jesus did die for everyone...but not every person is going to Heaven...only those who receive Him.

We either receive or reject Christ.  There is no in-between.  No one is born with Him in their lives.  He is a gentleman and won't come into our lives

until invited.

To be honest, most people have never had a definite time and place to accept Jesus once and for all into their lives.  If it had ever happened to you, you would remember it!  If you were to die unforgiven and without Christ, where does the Bible say you'd go?  Is that what you want?

5. WILL YOU ACCEPT CHRIST?

"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." (Romans 10:13)

Jesus is willing to take you just as you are.

Would you be willing to accept Him now?

Just pray this prayer from your heart:

Dear Lord, I know that I've sinned, and I'm sorry.  I realize I deserve hell fire for my sin.  I know you loved me, died on the cross, and rose again to pay for my sin and to purchase my salvation. I now receive you, Jesus Christ, and trust you completely to save me.  Save me from hell and give me a home in heaven.  Please help me to learn more about you. AMEN
