Scripture Reference: Psalms 23:6

“Character is not measured by what a man does; character is measured by what it takes to get a man to quit doing right.”  Many Christians when faced with difficult situations quit dwelling in the house of God and quit relying on the mercy of God.  God wants His people to be able to say, “God, I trust in your mercy and no matter what circumstance you bring into my life, I will follow you obediently.”

“Psalms 23”        Sunday A.M., February. 12, 2012

Scripture Reference: Colossians 1:14-23

The cross of Christ has the miraculous power to give victory over sin; however, when we as His people live in defeat, we are saying, in essence, that the cross has failed us.  Living a truly victorious Christian life depends solely on what we do with the cross.  What does YOUR life say about His cross?  What does your life say about your own cross?

“How Readest Thou”   Sunday A.M., May. 13, 2012

Scripture Reference: Luke 10:21-28

“If God’s Word were studied as it should be, men would have peace in their homes, victory over the destruction of sin, diligence in duty toward the Lord and His church, and a passion to spread the gospel.”  Men of old sacrificed their lives for the preservation and propagation of the Word of God.  They knew that the Scriptures had the ability to give life and to transform nations.  God’s Word truly IS more powerful than any two-edged sword but how are we reading It?  Unless you assimilate the Bible until It becomes your character, your rule, and your Guide, you will continue to live in defeat and failure.

How are you reading His Word?

Scripture Reference: Acts 16:16-34

“We are made in the image of God. It is natural for us to enjoy praise of men, but it is a temptation for us to give in to that feeling.” The gifts and talents that God has given us are not for us to use for our own selfish pleasures. They are given to us to bring praise and glory to our Creator. God wants to be glorified in and through our lives.

Will you let Him use your talents for HIS glory and HIS praise?

“How to Defeat the Devil”   Sunday A.M., Sept. 9, 2012

Scripture Reference: 2 Timothy 2:19-26

In order to gain victory in life, it is vital to understand who the adversary is and where the battle truly begins. Before a battle ever becomes physical, emotional, or mental, it always begins on the spiritual level. The battle then begins to manifest itself in the thoughts and intents of the heart.

What are the tools that God has given us to find the victory over Satan in this arena?

“Don’t Glory Over What You’ve Received” Sunday A.M., Oct. 7, 2012

Scripture Reference: 1 Corinthians 4:1-8

False judgments come by what we assume instead of what is written (God’s Word) or what we know to be true. As Christians, our job is to love and encourage not to assume or to judge. When we sit in judgment over others, we are lifting ourselves up in pride and self-piety.

Instead of assuming and judging, let’s spend our energy loving, encouraging, and uplifting one another...considering ourselves “lest we also be tempted.”

“Where Does the Peace Come from?” Sunday A.M., Oct. 28, 2012

Scripture Reference: Ephesians 2:11-22

Peace comes by following the rules that have been placed in our lives for OUR protection.

Being a citizen in a particular county brings certain rights and privileges but also requires a certain level of responsibility in following the laws of that country. If you have received Christ, you have become a citizen of Heaven. When you humble yourself to the authority of the Lord Jesus Christ and to His kingdom, peace ensues.

“The Absence of Courage” Sunday A.M., Nov. 25, 2012

Scripture Reference: Revelation 12:17-11

There is a lack of victory in Christianity today because we are giving the enemy place in our lives. Because we given him place, he has stripped us of our strength and of our courage. He knows that if God’s children are weak and lack spiritual courage, they WILL be too afraid to stand for Christ in their generation.

Do you want God to empower you in your Christian walk? Do you long for Him to light a fire in your soul once again? Learn how to regain the strength and courage to live out the victory that God has for you in your life.
